  1. My character is John Tyree, from Dear John.

I believe my character is "multi-dimensional" because there is more to him than what meets the eye. He looks like a buff, laid-back surfer dude, but you'd never know by just looking at him that he has pain and guilt from the way he treated his father growing up. He suffers anguish and wishes he could take back how he treated his dad. In fact, just by looking at him and the way he treats people now (during the book), you'd never really know that he was that mean kind of person "once upon a time".

John is also a soldier. Most of the time, people go into the service because they feel that's their "calling", or it's what they are meant to do. John doesn't feel this way; the service to him is something to do to get him out of his town and away from his youth. At first, it's something for him to do because he doesn't know who he is or where he is going- when he meets Savannah, that all changes.

I think John's strongest personality traits are his ambition (to be a better person), his calm, quiet nature, and the way he loves with his whole heart (as shown in his relationship with Savannnah and eventually his father). He is also Loyal.

I think one major weakness is John's temper. he has a habit of "flying off of the handle" a little too often. But, I do notice that he doesn't go crazy over anything...just anything to do with people he cares about a ton. This tells me that he is pretty laid back and can take a lot-- but when you strike the chord that makes him tick, he will strike back.

If I had to characterize John's type, it would be the "Strong, Silent type".

  2. My character is Kaeleigh/ Raeanne. In the end of the book, we find out that Kaeleigh has a personality disorder and has been living as herself and her dead twin sister. Kaeleigh is obviously a very interesting character who obviously has a harder life then most and doesn't know how to ask for help, or get the help she needs.
There is definitely more to Kaeleigh then meets the eye, most people who look at her family would think her parents are successful and she is the perfect daughter. In truth Kaeleigh's mother is never home and her father has been sexually abusing her for years. Kaeleigh deals with her hard life by attempting suicide, cutting, drinking, and eating disorders.
I think Kaeleigh's strongest personality traits are her strength and her ability to preserve. Even though she doesn't deal with her problems in the best ways, it definitely takes a lot of strength and being able to preserve to survive with what she's going through.
Kaeleigh biggest problem I think, is her not being able to get the help she needs, and not being able to confide in anyone about her families secrets and problems. Kaeleigh really needs to ask for help to be able to over-come all the problems she's facing.

  3. My Character is Darren Shan from the book, Cirque du freak.

I think he is flat because you know all about him from the beginning and he is pretty much always the same except for a few parts where he is sad because he is having to leave his family but other than that hes not the hardest to figure out.

Darren's strongest traits are being ignorant, he doesn't like to follow Mr. Crepsley's orders
and he is easily sad, it comes up a lot after he becomes a vampire and leaves his family forever...

One weakness my character has is his friends and family. He risks his own freedom for his best friend Steve and becomes a vampire in order to save Steve from poison. He also has the weakness not to suck blood after becoming a vampire because he doesn't like hurting a human being.

My characters type would have to be the strong and silent type. He is strong and silent about it and only uses it in times of need. He will not be afraid to do something if it's going to save someone else he is close to (Another example of him becoming a vampire.)

  4. I picked Savannah from the book Dear John.

I think that Savannah is multi-dimensional because when you first 'see' her, you probably think she is a girl who wants to be girly and not care too much about other people. But, when you get to know her, you find out she helps Habitat for Humanity and doesn't curse or drink alcohol.

Savannah's strongest trait is probably kindness. She cares a lot about John, and also about all the things she does. She likes to help out people who need homes, and she also showed an interest in John's father, and helping him.

I think Savannah's weakness is John. I know he is a person, and not really a 'weakness' but she loves him a lot. When he decided to reenlist in the army, you could see how devastated she was, because she loves him.

Savannah is definitely a 'lover not a fighter.'

  5. I chose Katniss from the Hunger Games. She is definitely multi dimensional. On the outside she is a strong defiant person. On the inside. She is a really scared person. She has to fend for her family and she dreads if she cannot support her family. Her weakness is dealing with other people. She doesn't trust many people and she tends to be a little awkward during interviews or blurting things out. She is the type of person that is strong physically she just needs someone to love her.

I chose this Lullaby and the character was Remy.

I think that she is definitely multi- dimensional
    3. What are this character's strongest personality traits (traits that come up again and again)?
She is in control, and likes to have things very perfect, or as close to perfect as she can get.
    4. What's one weakness your character has?
One weakness my character has is a song, "This Lullaby". It is a song by her dad, and a very popular one too. Her father left her and her mother, her bother too, when she was very young. Remy often envisions what her life would be like with her dad. She cries when she hears it.
Optional: Do you think you character has a "type"? For example, a jock, class-clown, "strong and silent", "tall, dark, and handsome", "A lover not a fighter", the nerd, the brains, etc etc.
My girl is a popular, "long blonde hair, and skinny".

  8. I chose The Weight Of Silence. My characters name is Calli Clark. Some traits that come up again and again are she never talks, she just kind of bops around doing her own thing. One weakness my character has would be that because she doesn't talk so she can't tell anyone what is wrong. My characters strongest personality trait would be that she is free minded, and does her own little thing. My characters "type" would be strong and silent."oh yea she never talks and is always quiet" "because her father had pushed Calli's mom down the stairs and Calli would not stop crying so Griff the dad said "if you don't shut up i will make it so you will never talk again.

  11. I am reading The battle of the Laybrinth, Percy Jackson.

I believe that there is more than meets the eye with Percy Jackson for a few reasons. One reasons it that he has seen a lot of stuff, watching some friends die and meeting his father for the first time in like 13 years. When he saw his friend die he could not believe that she was dieing because she was so brave. When he first meet his father he was nervous and excited to meet him at the same time. The second reason is that when he is arguing with someone, that may be a god, half blood or just a mortal, depending on who it is he wont say everything that he is thinking. The last thing is when it comes to girls Percy is shy, does not always say what he is thinking.

He is brave, courageous, friendly, caring, cautious and sometimes he says what he is thinking if he is arguing.

If a family member or friend is in danger he will do anything to save them even if he does not have permission.

  12. I choose Brian's Winter and my charter is Brian.

My charter is flat because he get into a crash on a plane in the lake.

His strongest trait is staying focus which is good for surviving in the wild forests.

The weakness trait is he complains little too much but stops when he tries to survive and get a signal to get rescue.

  13. I chose the book Just Listen, and the main character is Annabel.

I am half-way through the book, and right now, to me, she has a flat personality. Maybe towards the end she will change.

Her strongest trait is her beauty, and inner beauty. Annabel has been modeling since she was really little. She took after her older sisters.

My characters' weakness is confronting people. She has a hard time telling people the truth. Like one example is Annabel is having a hard time telling her mom that she doesn't want to do modeling anymore.

  14. I chose Alaska Young from Looking for Alaska.

My character is multi - dimensional because she ends up killing herself and no one can figure out why. Also, when she was alive, she could be very spontaneous. She loved to pull pranks but she was clever about how she planned it. She never did anything that could get her expelled.

Alaska is very reserved when she is not around her friends. She will speak out if anyone is dissing females or being sexist but she doesn't just say everything that is on her mind to anyone.

One weakness Alaska has is her mother. When she was younger, her mother died and Alaska could have saved her by calling 911 but she was in shock and didn't. Ever since, she doesn't like going home because its just her dad and she feels terrible.

  15. I chose Paul from A river runs through it.

My character is multi-dimensional because he has a side that all he thinks about is fishing, but he hides behind that guy sometimes when he needs help from somebody.

Paul is very brave, he will fight anyone to protect his girl. He also gets in trouble with the law a lot.

One weakness that he has is he can't admit that he needs help no matter what.
